Attorneys requested Jaguar Wright’s interview was cancelled when she called Beyoncé and Jay-Z “monsters.”
Piers Morgan had to apologise to Jay-Z and Beyoncé after airing an interview with singer Jaguar Wright in which she made inaccurate and dangerous claims that the two were “monsters” and “a nasty little couple” while discussing P Diddy’s recent imprisonment. Piers Morgan apologised to Beyoncé and Jay-Z, withdrew the interview, and released a statement after the two women’s attorneys contacted Uncensored.
Jaguar Wright spoke about P Diddy’s imprisonment on Piers Morgan Uncensored. “For four years I’ve been screaming not just Diddy, but Diddy and Jay-Z are monsters,” she stated during an interview.
Piers Morgan made a video in which he addressed the Beyoncé and Jay-Z charges, saying that Jaguar Wright’s assertions “were totally false and have no basis in fact.”
“The truth about platforms in today’s world is that almost anybody can have a platform if they have something worthwhile to say,” Morgan explained to his audience. We asked [Wright] to participate in an interview for that reason. Whether they air shows similar to mine or not, the individuals making these claims have a following.
He went on, “Well, during that interview, Jaguar unexpectedly revealed some severe charges regarding Jay-Z and Beyoncé. They weren’t there to answer or defend themselves, as I mentioned at the time, but they are here now. Our solicitors got in touch with us to inform us that those allegations were untrue and unfounded, and as a result, we cooperated with the court’s order to remove them from the initial interview.
Piers Morgan finished, saying, “At a show named Uncensored, editing interviews is not something we do lightly, but like the traditional shouts of fire in a packed theatre, there are legal constraints on us, too. We also apologise to Beyoncé and Jay-Z.
P Diddy’s bail requests were all turned down, therefore he is now being kept at a prison in New York while he awaits trial. He has refuted every accusation made against him. His trial has not yet been scheduled.
