This week, the Norwegian addressed the Edinburgh club.

Hearts and Norwegian coach Per-Mathias Hogmo’s negotiations have come to a standstill since neither side was able to come to an understanding. Hogmo was chosen by the Edinburgh club to succeed former head coach Steven Naismith, but the two haven’t been able to come to an agreement on a contract.

Hearts are prepared to move on and take into account further applicants for the position. Hogmo, 64, is still interested in working at Tynecastle Park right now, but at least one other club on the Continent is taking notice of him. It’s unclear if he and Hearts will get together again in the days ahead. For the time being, Gorgie is still looking for a new manager.

After firing Naismith last month, the Tynecastle board assembled a list of potential replacements and met with Hogmo on Thursday and Friday. After negotiations came to a standstill on Friday afternoon, Hearts officials are now considering their alternatives.
