Players from all over the world are expected to be linked to a move to Celtic in the upcoming weeks and months as the Bhoys get ready for future transfer windows.
William Boving is one name that’s been circulating on Friday in virtual Celtic circles. The adaptable forward for Sturm Graz has reportedly caught the attention of the Bhoys right away after making an impression at the Champions League team.
Boving, who is only 21 years old, has already made 125 senior games for the Austrian team and his boyhood club, Copenhagen. He’s made 11 goals and 11 assists since moving to Sturm Graz, which is outstanding experience for someone his age.
It would be extremely difficult to get his signature, though, and a transfer to Celtic seems unlikely.
William Boving gaining recognition in Europe amidst Celtic curiosity 67 Hail Hail is aware that Boving would probably not be interested in moving to Scotland as his next professional transfer, and that Sturm Graz would be seeking for a cost over £7 million. Clubs in Germany and Italy are also expressing interest in hiring him, which would provide Celtic with more challenges.
Boving is a versatile center-forward who can operate both through the middle and in outside attacking zones. There is now no pressing need to make large purchases in those positions because Celtic have paid a large lot of money for Adam Idah during the summer transfer window and have wingers who are producing and in excellent form.
Possible transfer priorities for Celtic Thus far this season, there aren’t many concerns over Celtic’s offensive capabilities. In just 11 games, the Bhoys have scored an incredible 36 goals. It would make sense to concentrate on defensive positions or even add another ball-winning option to the midfield area when determining transfer priorities going forward.
Given that Alex Valle is only on loan from Barcelona and that Greg Taylor’s contract expires at the end of the current campaign, the left-back position appears to require special attention. Regardless of position, Celtic will always be searching for talented players, but adding to the team’s aggressive core would be good.
Alongside that, the team will continue to cut peripheral players who aren’t seeing much action.
