Due to injuries in the secondary, Tarvarius Moore and Ameer Speed are added to the 53-man roster for the Jacksonville game.

Due to the wave of injuries plaguing their secondary, the Bears activated two defensive backs from their practice squad for the London game against Jacksonville in order to add depth.

Security By conventional elevation, Tarvarius Moore and Ameer Speed, the cornerback, were added to the 53-man roster for the contest. Jake Martin, a defensive end, will continue to be placed on injured reserve this week, the Bears also stated.

The New England Patriots selected 6-foot-3, 215-pound cornerback Speed in the fifth round of last year’s draft. Speed appeared in five games for the Patriots before getting cut and having the Indianapolis Colts claim him off waivers. He participated in eight Colts games.

After the first major defensive injuries, bears shouldn’t panic.

On special teams, speed was almost entirely utilised. He was involved in 227 special teams plays and 12 defensive plays. Speed, a former Michigan State and Georgia player in college, concluded 2023 with nine tackles, one of which was for a loss.

Moore was involved in the Bears’ 24–18 victory over the Rams two weeks ago. Moore participated in 48 games for the 49ers, making 13 starts.

Starting safety Jaquan Brisker is out with a concussion, backup cornerback Terell Smith is out with a hip injury, and starting cornerback Tyrique Stevenson is questionable due to a calf ailment, therefore Moore and Speed were needed for the game.

Martin’s window of opportunity to be taken off injured reserve was extended by 21 days. If the Bears decide to activate him in the future, they will need to make a roster change, possibly to the defensive end.

Martin has 18 career sacks and is currently in his seventh season. When training camp began, he suffered a toe injury, which forced him to start the regular season on injured reserve.
