On June 21, Post Malone’s collaboration with Blake Shelton, “Pour Me a Drink,” was released as the second single off his debut country album. The song quickly became popular among both performers’ fans. On Spotify alone, it has had over 120 million plays to date. It now has the distinction of becoming both Shelton’s and Malone’s multi-week No. 1.

Malone and Shelton’s “Pour Me a Drink” is in its second week at the top of the publication’s Country Airplay chart with the October 12 list. The track has completed the survey for a total of 16 weeks thus far. With this, F-1 Trillion’s single becomes the second to top the survey. Morgan Wallen was featured on the album’s lead single, “I Had Some Help.” After only seven weeks, it achieved the top rank.

Malone and Shelton have achieved significant success on this chart before. “Pour Me a Drink” peaked at the top of the recently established UK Country Airplay chart in July. Additionally, “I Had Some Help” reached at the top of the chart before that success.

Blake Shelton made an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show last month. He talked about hunting, football, his job, and a lot more while he was there. He also shared his candid thoughts on Post Malone’s status as a country music singer.

Regarding Malone’s success in the genre, Shelton remarked, “I think the reason it’s working so well with Post is that it’s not something that he’s just trying, like a one-off thing.” He went on to say, “He knows a lot about country music, the writers, and the musicians.” “I was blown away the first time I had the opportunity to sit down and discuss country music with him.”

Shelton continued by saying that Malone taught him certain things. The “Austin” singer disclosed, “He was telling me things I didn’t know and he’s fans of musicians that he’s introducing me to that are old school.” He went on to summarise Posty’s prospects in the country music industry. He said, “I think Post is likely here to stay.”
