The world learnt about Liam Payne’s death on October 16, shocking the music industry. The international sensation, who gained notoriety as a member of One Direction, was discovered dead outside a Buenos Aires, Argentina, hotel after he fell from a third-story balcony. His age was thirty-one.
Payne recently travelled to Argentina to attend a concert by his old bandmate Niall Horan. Police were called to the CasaSur Hotel in the city’s Palermo neighbourhood after receiving a report of an angry guy who was allegedly under the influence of drugs and alcohol, according to a transcript of the call that Reuters was able to obtain.
The hotel management gave the following explanation when calling emergency personnel: “We have a visitor who is drunk by drugs and alcohol … The entire room is being broken by him. Additionally, the manager told authorities that Payne’s room had a balcony and stated, “We’re a little afraid that he’ll do something that will put his life at risk.”
A video and some remarks the singer made about meeting Sean “Diddy” Combs have resurfaced and are currently receiving a lot of attention as fans around the world grieve his demise.
This explains why Payne referred to the founder of Bad Boy Records as “evil.”
Liam Payne recalled his unsettling experience with Diddy.
Payne discussed his meeting with Diddy on two separate occasions back in 2017.
During his appearance as a guest on the British television show The Graham Norton Show, Payne described how he decided to approach and introduce himself after spotting Diddy, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Jay-Z standing next to each other at a star-studded party.
Payne said to Norton and the audience that Diddy’s behaviour made the encounter awkward. He remembered that when he shook hands with the “Coming Home” rapper, Diddy gave him a lengthy, strange laugh that went on for a long time.
In an interview with Kyle and Jackie O of Australia’s KIIS FM, Payne went into further detail, characterising the meeting as rather darker and referring to the chuckle as “evil.”
He simply laughed as I shook his hand when I approached him to talk to him and Jay-Z. “I’ve never heard a more malevolent laugh,” Payne disclosed. “So I’m a little scared of that guy.”
Payne said that he “missed the mark” and called that event “the most daunting celebrity experience” he has ever had, despite his belief that Diddy would have been more approachable than DiCaprio and Jay-Z.
There are still hundreds of assault claims against Diddy.
Diddy is being jailed at the Metropolitan Detention Centre in Brooklyn on allegations of transportation to engage in prostitution, racketeering, and sex trafficking.
A judge scheduled Diddy’s court appearance for May 5, 2025, on October 10. Following fresh accusations against the music mogul from 120 accusers, this judgement was made. Since then, many of people have come forward to accuse the former Bad Boy boss of even more violence.
Marc Agnifilo, Diddy’s lawyer, told reporters that his client is eager for his court appearance, stating: “He’s been looking forward to clearing his name, and he’s going to clear his name.” Diddy has refuted all of the accusations.
