The midfielder wants to play in the Euro match.
Archie Grey, a teenage wonder for Tottenham Hotspur, is giddy with anticipation about playing Rangers next month.

Grey, a lifelong Celtic supporter, has already marked Thursday, December 12 on his calendar as the day Spurs visit Ibrox for a Europa League match.

With most of his performances for Tottenham this season taking place in Europe, the 18-year-old completed a high-profile summer transfer from Leeds United to the Premier League powerhouses, which are coached by former Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou.

Although Gray’s father, Frank, and uncle, Eddie, both played for Scotland, the £30 million player will play for England after earning an under-21 cap. However, Scottish supporters might get a chance to see him when his club travels north to play Rangers.

“Especially watching Celtic and supporting them a little bit, you always look for the Rangers game,” Grey stated in reference to the possibility of playing Rangers. The player has already attended an Old Firm derby as a fan. I’m excited about the unique opportunity to play at Ibrox.

“The Old Firm was not at Ibrox, but I have been to one. These games are fantastic, and I always enjoy them. They are equally entertaining to watch on television.

Spurs are well-positioned to qualify after winning their first three Europa League games against Qarabag, Ferencvaros, and AZ Alkmaar. Next Thursday, they play Galatasaray in Istanbul.

Rangers will play Olympiakos in Piraeus the following week. The Gers fell to Lyon at home, but they have won against Malmo and FCSB.
