Police have reported a “road traffic accident” that has resulted in the closure of several roadways in central Edinburgh.
According to a statement from Police Scotland, “We responded to complaints of a pedestrian being struck by a car on Saturday, November 2, just after 7.30pm. Investigations are still being conducted.
“Candlemaker Road, Guthrie Street, and Blair Street are all closed.
“Motorists are advised to avoid the area and use alternative routes.”
The Cowgate neighbourhood of the city is where the incident occurred.
