Due to Brentford’s increase in asking price, Arsenal will not be able to make a bid to capture Bryan Mbeumo during the January transfer window.

Mick Brown, a former scout for Manchester United, Tottenham, and West Ham who is still very well-connected in the league, told Football Insider exclusively that the Bees are expected to seek upwards of £60 million for the winger.

Amid concerns over Mohamed Salah’s future, the Gunners have joined Liverpool in their pursuit of the 25-year-old, showing increasing interest in him.

Though a January transfer may not be in the cards, Mbeumo’s eight goals in nine Premier League appearances this season have prompted prospective clubs to formally express their interest.

He continues to be a key component of Thomas Frank’s goals, and Brentford is reportedly determined not to lose him in the middle of the season.

A bid of £40 million would have been sufficient to get him signed, according to a report by Football Insider in the summer. However, that amount has since skyrocketed in expectation of further interest.

In a recent £60 million twist, Arsenal finds out Bryan Mbeumo’s asking price.

Due to concerns about their depth, Arsenal has been trying to strengthen their forward line, and Bukayo Saka’s recent injury has highlighted the need for a strong backup.

Brown, who has extensive experience in high-level player recruitment, has maintained that a deal might now need to wait until the summer transfer window.

He told Football Insider, “He’s a fantastic player.”

He is trustworthy, capable, strong, honest, and reliable.

Many clubs have been keeping an eye on him, and many would like to have him on their team.

However, Brentford will not allow him to leave cheaply.

“The boy has performed admirably for them, but I doubt that teams like Arsenal will be prepared to pay the kind of amount they’re requesting.

I’ve heard that they think he’s worth up to £60 million.

Although they don’t anticipate receiving that amount for him, they will try to price him out of a move in January because they don’t want to lose him.

“I wouldn’t expect any clubs to match that asking price at this time, but whether it occurs in the summer is another matter.”
