Jack Walker of Hull FC seems to have confirmed his departure from the team. The fullback, who was told he was surplus to needs along with two of his colleagues, Liam Tindall and Morgan Smith, according to an exclusive report from Hull Live last month, has stated that he is no longer employed.
Walker revealed the information on his recently created YouTube channel. He shared a video of himself in the gym with the caption, “I’m no longer training with a club.”
The 25-year-old apparently left the team immediately away after learning that new head coach John Cartwright no longer saw him as a member of the first team plans at the MKM Stadium.
In the video, Walker stated: “With not training anymore with a club, the challenge, physically and mentally, is to do what is needed when you don’t have to go in.”It is your duty to attend to the gym, complete your bronco tests, and train since it is your job. Now that you don’t have a job, you have to do everything by yourself, which can be very taxing when you’re by yourself and no one is around. It will be a pleasant mental exercise that will only make me more resilient. I’m excited about it.”
After spending some time on loan in 2022, Walker made 16 appearances for the Black and Whites in 2024. Nevertheless, the team decided to take a fresh approach for the upcoming season after Jordan Rapana joined and Logan Moy emerged.
