According to reports, Norwich City star Borja Sainz would want to join Atletico Madrid, despite having connections to Premier League teams, Galatasaray, and other La Liga teams, Athletic Club and Villarreal.

The Carrow Road supporters may be alarmed by the most recent revelation on his future, which was made by Radio Popular de Bilbao, as elite teams appear to be beginning to show interest.

This season, Sainz has been in outstanding form for the Canaries, filling in for some important players who left and showing himself to be a valuable asset in the closing third.

Following the loss of numerous crucial attackers, the 23-year-old’s contributions to Johannes Hoff Thorup’s team have been especially significant. He is now leading the Golden Boot race and has been among the finest players in the Championship.

Adam Idah, who may have been a valuable addition to Norfolk this season after excelling while on loan at Celtic the previous season, was sold.

In addition to Jonathan Rowe, who emerged as a vital player under David Wagner last season, Gabriel Sara, a significant attacking asset from midfield the previous season, also left the team.

Sainz has grown in importance since all three of those players left, and Josh Sargent is currently out. However, if he can keep up his good play, it might not be long before he goes on.

Fans may be worried that he would be enticed away from Carrow Road during the January transfer window, as the Canaries’ board has demonstrated a readiness to cash in on players for the right place since their return to the Championship.

La Liga teams are interested in Borja Sainz, a Norwich City standout.

According to Radio Popular de Bilbao, Villarreal, Athletic Club, and Atletico Madrid are all interested in acquiring the player.

The article also mentions various Premier League teams and Galatasaray as potential suitors for the 23-year-old.

His current favourite destination is reportedly Atletico Madrid, although that is reportedly contingent on anticipated roster changes for the Spanish team, including the potential departures of Samuel Lion and Antoine Griezmann.

He would rejoin with his old Norwich teammate Sara if he relocated to Turkey to join Galatasaray.

Borja Sainz requires Norwich City to adopt a firm stance.

Sainz’s contract with Norwich is set to expire in 2026, therefore they should try to sign him to a new agreement soon.

The Canaries might be able to get a sizable amount for him in January given his contract status and current form.

However, the team might have a difficult second half of the season if they lose him in the winter transfer window, and that is the last thing they want.

They should be trying to take a harsh position on Sainz as they have already made a lot of money from sales in the last two years.

However, it is unclear if they will be able to retain the 23-year-old.
