According to the Daily Record, Rangers may try to use a tried-and-true transfer ploy to get Kwame Poku, a winger for Peterborough United.

As the Ibrox team has acquired Joe Aribo and Calvin Bassey for negligible compensation payments because of cross-border compensation regulations, the news outlet stated on November 18 that they may try to do the same for the Ghanaian international.

with the conclusion of the season, the 23-year-old’s contract with Weston Homes Stadium ends. Kwame Poku’s services are available to Rangers in January. He may be able to adjust and succeed in the Scottish Premiership based on his strong League One scoring performances.

Rangers can avoid any competition from English clubs by signing Poke to a pre-contract agreement in January. In that case, his transfer fee would probably be much greater because of Peterborough’s claims for compensation.

Since he is not in Scotland, the Gers would be wise to sign him on a free transfer six months in advance. This deal would demonstrate the club’s ability to take advantage of cross-border compensation regulations in addition to enabling them to acquire a gifted young player at a modest cost.

The Ghanaian international has been praised by Posh manager Darren Ferguson, who has called him “unplayable.” According to TBR Football, he stated: “The boy is so good right now that he isn’t playable.” He is deserving of all the praise and recognition. We had to keep him for the summer because of this.

It remains to be seen if they are able to outbid the competitors for his services.
