During the international break, Barry Ferguson is hoping that Neraysho Kasanwirjo did not suffer a significant injury while away from Rangers.

On Monday, November 18 [Daily Record], the 22-year-old was on the verge of tears after collapsing during the Netherlands Under-21s’ 1-1 draw with England due to what appeared to be a knee injury.

Despite making just two appearances in the Scottish Premiership, Kasanwirjo has made a good impression and is being urged by many supporters to take James Tavernier’s place in the starting lineup.

Ferguson spoke live on the Go Radio Football Show [November 20]: “I noticed that. I’ve seen it a few times, and nothing has changed. That appears to be his knee.

“Hopefully, it’s not a serious situation. However, we all know that when it comes to knee problems, we simply have to wait and see how the scan turns out.

After Neraysho Kasanwirjo’s injury, would Rangers experience another setback?

Since being carried off the pitch in tears, the club has failed to provide an official update regarding their full-back, which is rarely encouraging.

Despite playing little in the Scottish Premiership, the 22-year-old, along with Connor Barron and Vaclav Cerny, has been one of the summer’s major transfer successes.

Although it would be extremely unfortunate for Philippe Clement and the Gers if Kasanwirjo suffered another injury, Tavernier and Dujon Sterling are more than capable of playing right back.

As it appears that Kasanwirjo will be joining Oscar Cortes, Tom Lawrence, and Rabbi Matondo in the treatment room, the Light Blues are still having terrible luck with injuries.

The Gers are more lighter in other places right now, so losing a right-back wouldn’t be the biggest blow, but it would be unfortunate considering the positive influence the player has had since joining Ibrox in the summer.
