A recent takeover attempt by former Wycombe Wanderers owner Rob Couhig failed, and Reading FC is currently in financial ruins due to poor management under club owner Dai Yongge’s supervision.
According to The Athletic, Couhig is still unsure of the reasons behind the failure of his acquisition bid. “I have yet to be informed as to why the deal was not completed,” he stated. With the exception of Dai Yongge, all parties, including the minority owners in Thailand, had signed the agreements, which had been prepared and distributed by the sellers’ solicitors.
The Royals are doing well on the pitch despite difficult conditions, even if they still suffer from Yongge’s poor ownership off the play.
This season, Ruben Selles’ team has shown its value in the third division with strong performances like a 2-1 victory against promotion-threatened Huddersfield in September and a decisive 4-1 victory over Crawley last month.
Tyler Bindon is admitted by a Royals fan commentator.
Football League World asked our Reading fan analyst, Johnny Hunt, who he believes his club’s finest player is at the moment and how he would describe him in one word, keeping in mind the Royals’ comparatively impressive on-field performances.
In response, Johnny predicted that Tyler Bindon would leave unless the club’s upper management saw major improvements.
“I think it’s such a young team, to try and pick out one (player),” Johnny responded. Tyler Bindon seems to have the most promise, in my opinion.
“He looks classy, and that’s the phrase I’d use to describe a young man starting football.
However, he is a leader and an excellent player who is well beyond his years and has a cool mind.
“I’m not sure how long he’ll stay at Reading because, unless the club works things out, I believe he’s destined for far better and larger things.
When he came to us the summer before last year, no one would have given him a second look, so he’s another underappreciated player that I’ve really liked seeing grow.
“We just thought he was going to be an under-23 player and to look at him now, he’s unreal, and hopefully he’ll stay injury-free and keep us up or get us promoted.”
Tyler Bindon is a model citizen.
The fact that the Royals are still in the running for a League One play-off berth in spite of all their financial concerns is one of the biggest tales in the Football League thus far this season.
This is the case due to a youthful team that consistently performs incredibly well, in addition to Selles’ outstanding management.
One of the greatest examples of such is Bindon, who made at least 40 league appearances in the previous season despite only being 19 years old.
He has continued to be a vital member of Selles’ team this season, remaining composed when in possession and playing strong defence when out of it.
During the previous international break, the center-half scored an improbable brace for New Zealand in an 8-1 victory over Vanuatu in World Cup qualifying. He is a persistent player who does not back down from aerial or ground duels.
Given the difficult circumstances surrounding the club, the Royals are tremendously fortunate to have a top-tier defender on their hands who may even be too good for League One, as evidenced by his ability to perform well on the international scene.
