After Rangers defeated St Johnstone 1-0 on Sunday, Nico Raskin delivered a message to James Tavernier.

At McDiarmid Park, the Light Blues’ captain was instrumental in helping the Gers win all three points by forcing Jason Holt to make an own goal rather than by scoring a goal himself.

On December 1, Raskin was another outstanding player as Philippe Clement’s team won their eighth game of the Scottish Premiership season, cutting Aberdeen’s lead to seven points.

Rasking commented, “The main man,” along with a blue heart symbol, on the right-back’s Instagram post [1 December].
In Rangers’ victory over St. Johnstone, James Tavernier makes an impression.

Since the summer transfer window, the right-back has received a lot of criticism, and many supporters want the player to leave Ibrox.

Supporters are growing impatient with his decline in performance after he had several opportunities to find a way out.

Despite being 33 years old and still playing well in the Scottish Premiership, Clement has benched Tavernier multiple times this season.

But since Dujon Sterling is having trouble staying healthy and Neraysho Kasanwirjo has been out for months, the manager is forced to put him back in at right-back.

Since joining Ibrox in 2015, he has amassed 126 goals and 133 assists, making him an invaluable player of the team who still proves himself in spurts.

Although he applied pressure, he will have been disappointed not to have scored again on Sunday when Holt beat him to deflect Ianis Hagi’s cross into the Saints’ net.

It might have been a better afternoon for the veteran because the free-scoring defender also had a free-kick that Joshua Rae stopped. It was simply not meant to be.
