The locations for the Springboks’ two main events versus the All Blacks in the next season have been determined.

The Springboks famously secured a remarkable fourth consecutive victory over their bitter rivals, dating back to last year, and earned back-to-back victories over the All Blacks earlier this year on their route to winning the Rugby Championship.

It has finally been announced that the Springboks will make their much awaited return to New Zealand soil next year, returning for the first time in twelve years to the All Blacks’ stronghold of Eden Park.

South Africa has only played in New Zealand once since 2019, but when they play on September 6 in Auckland, they would love nothing more than to snap New Zealand’s 50-Test winning streak at Eden Park.

Following that struggle, the Springboks will play the All Blacks again on Saturday, September 13 at Sky Stadium in Wellington in an attempt to defend their Rugby Championship crown.

A highlight of the 2025 season will be the Springboks-All Blacks Tests. SA Rugby has confirmed that dates have been set for both the home leg of the Rugby Championship and the Tests in the Incoming Series next year. The governing body will only confirm locations and kickoff times later.

When Italy plays the Boks on July 5 and 12, it will be their first trip to South Africa since 2013. The Azzurri have only played seven Test matches in South Africa since their initial visit in 1999.

In keeping with World Rugby’s objectives to introduce up-and-coming countries to elite competition, the Boks will play Georgia at home for the second time a week later. Prior to the British & Irish Lions’ COVID-affected tour, the Lelos played one Test match against South Africa in Pretoria in 2021.

On successive weekends in August, on the 16th and 23rd, the Springboks will begin the defence of their Rugby Championship title against the Wallabies, who will host the British & Irish Lions in July.

The Springboks finish the Rugby Championship at home (September 27) and away (October 4) against Argentina, followed by away Test matches against the All Blacks in New Zealand on September 6 and 13.

In due time, specifics on the locations for the All Blacks Tests, the away game in Argentina, and the November European tour will be revealed.

2025 Springbok home games (locations and kickoff times to be confirmed):

July 12: Italy vs. SA
July 19: Georgia vs. SA
August 16: Australia vs. SA
SA vs. Australia, August 23
