Liverpool may recall Norwich City loanee Kaide Gordon this winter and potentially send him to another club, according to a report by Liverpool.com.
Gordon joined Norwich on loan in the summer to strengthen their attacking options but has struggled to secure a regular starting spot under head coach Johannes Hoff Thorup. Despite being sent out on loan by Liverpool to gain consistent playing time, the 20-year-old winger has made just eight appearances for the Canaries, contributing one goal.
In this latest update, Liverpool.com suggests the Reds could recall Gordon next month and loan him to another Championship side to increase his opportunities for regular game time.
Norwich City Loan Update
Swansea City, as reported by WalesOnline in August, were interested in Gordon before Norwich secured his signature. However, his stint at Carrow Road hasn’t gone as planned, and a fresh move could provide the consistency he needs at this stage of his development.
Gordon began his career at Derby County, progressing through their youth ranks and making one senior appearance before being signed by Liverpool in 2021. Since then, he has featured in seven matches for the Reds, scoring once, with all appearances under former manager Jurgen Klopp.
After joining Norwich, Gordon expressed his excitement, stating:
> “I’m really excited to be here. As soon as I heard Norwich were interested, I definitely wanted to come. This is a great club, and my first Liverpool game was at Carrow Road, which was a fantastic experience.”
What’s Next for Gordon?
It remains to be seen if Liverpool will cut his Norwich loan short. A move to another Championship club could provide him with the playing time he needs. Meanwhile, Norwich face Burnley at home this weekend following their goalless draw with Portsmouth.
