Rangers supporters were incensed at Stan Collymore’s response to their pregame performance against Tottenham at Ibrox.
Rangers supporters expressed their emotions with a banner that read, “Make Rangers great again,” on display prior to a major match that resulted in a 1-1 draw.
In Thursday’s (12 December) Europa League match, the Gers played well even if they were unable to win.
Collymore, however, posted a gif from The Office on X, implying that he wasn’t impressed with the screen. Rangers supporters were eager to express their disgust.
Philippe Clement must improve Rangers’ situation.
Even though tonight’s draw was good, the Gers still have a lot of work to do at Ibrox if they want to improve this season.
It’s not surprising that there have been concerns over Clement’s future and that fans are calling for greater performance from their squad given that the Scottish Premiership team has been marked by subpar performance and a lack of passion under their new manager ever since he joined the team.
With a strong draw against a strong team on Thursday, the team should have some hope that they can play some decent football and keep improving this season.
Before Rangers supporters are satisfied with their team, there is still a lot of work to be done.
Nonetheless, this will undoubtedly serve as a reminder that the team has talent on an evening when many people were rooting for their opponents to win handily.
The mood going into the New Year will be determined more by the Spurs’ performance than by the genuinely huge match against Celtic that is scheduled for this weekend.
