In an attempt to move up from the bottom of the table, Hearts will host St Johnstone at Tynecastle on Sunday afternoon. They have to defeat Petrocub at home in the Europa League on Thursday night in the interim.

Hibs is getting ready for this weekend’s road match against Aberdeen. Here are some of the most recent speculations and news from the Scottish Premiership in the interim.

Latest St Johnstone deal

A blow has been given to St Johnstone before their travel to Hearts. According to their manager Simo Valakari, Benji Kimpioka has expressed no interest in discussing a contract extension.

“I spoke with Benji, and he said: ‘No plans, we just play and train,'” according to a story by The Courier. Right now, I’m not sure—that’s the situation. In football, this is typical. It is a component of the company.

“I am aware that a few of our players will receive some interest and bids in January. That is quite typical. The club will then have to make a decision. Since they remain our players through the conclusion of the season, we will make the best decision for the team.

It wouldn’t be the first time that a player would leave after their contract expired. However, they will give the team their all while they are present. They won’t be here otherwise.

“Benji is aware that football has a short memory,” he continued. His worth is diminished if he isn’t functioning right now. People will begin to wonder, “Oh, what’s going on?” Why isn’t he performing as well as we anticipated?

Benji is aware that he must perform. He must perform well. As a manager, it is my responsibility to manage this issue as effectively as possible. The player must continue to perform at their best because failing to do so will prevent them from reaching their goals.

In January, 24-year-old Kimpioka started working at St Johnstone. In 15 games this season, he has already scored six league goals. He has played a significant role for the Saints recently and has previously been on the books of IK Sirius, Sunderland, AIK, and Luzern.

Ace wanted in St. Mirren

It might be difficult for St Mirren to hold onto Evan Mooney, a developing star. The Daily Record claims that Arsenal and Newcastle United, two Premier League teams, are “watching” him in anticipation of possible future raids.

Mooney is drawing interest from below the border and is predicted to have a bright career in the game. The Buddies are not under any hurry to cash in on him just yet; instead, they may wait for the appropriate offer to come in for his services before considering letting him go. He signed a new three-year contract in the summer that will last until 2027.

This season, the 17-year-old has made two appearances for St. Mirren’s first squad and scored one goal. Through their youth levels, he has advanced.
