Celtic endured a frustrating draw against Dundee United but managed to extend their lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership to nine points.
At Tannadice, Brendan Rodgers fielded a makeshift Celtic lineup as he aimed to maintain his perfect away record in Tayside.
Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers expressed disappointment in his team’s performance after a 0-0 draw against Dundee United, noting that the players failed to meet the high expectations of the club’s fans. Despite a late surge in attack, the match ended in frustration for Rodgers.
However, Rodgers found positives, praising two players for their contributions. Speaking to Sky Sports Scotland, he remarked, “We got into the areas we wanted to and did so frequently.”
“My impression of the game is that we didn’t test the goalkeeper enough. We created plenty of opportunities but failed to hit the target.
We moved the ball well, connected our play effectively, and their goalkeeper made an excellent save toward the end when Arne tried to poke it through his legs. He reacted quickly.
We also had a great chance with Kyogo, and we got into the positions we wanted. However, particularly in the first half, I felt we didn’t challenge the goalkeeper enough.”
