Rangers and Jack Butland have come under fire from David Edgar for their performance against St. Mirren on Boxing Day.
After the first half, the host of the Heart and Hand podcast said on X that he was upset with Butland for giving up the first goal at Paisley on December 26.
The Gers trailed 1-0 at halftime, and St Mirren won 2-1. Caolon Boyd-Munce scored the game-winning goal after Danilo tied the score.
“That was terrible,” Edgar wrote. produced nothing at all and caused chaos in the back, which was topped off by some absurd goalkeeping.
Rangers’ start against St. Mirren was terrible.
Edgar was quite right; the Gers had a disastrous first half.
Even though they controlled the ball, they were unable to produce anything noteworthy in the last third, so it was obvious that adjustments were required.
At halftime, Clement substituted Danilo and Nico Raskin, two players who may make a difference.
It’s hardly surprising that the second half saw an improvement in performance after he substituted Nedim Bajrami, who had a terrible first half.
Danilo’s arrival immediately paid dividends as he levelled the score for the Gers by finding the back of the goal.
But in the end, the squad lost because of their bad defence, and they didn’t gain anything from the match.
