Deals can be made both inside and outside of Celtic now that January has arrived.

After bringing in Adam Idah and Nicolas Kuhn around this time last year, Brendan Rodgers wants to add attacking players to the team.

With Kieran Tierney at the top of the shortlist and a left-back still on the radar, the Celtic manager is also looking to bolster their defence.

However, with a transfer leaving in the coming days, the need to recruit is being accelerated, so that area of the pitch in particular may now see movement this month.

Due to his prolific play, defender Alexandro Bernabei, who is currently on loan at Internacional in Brazil, was selected for the Serie A Team of the Year.

Palmeiras is poised to make a last-minute attempt to outbid their league rivals, which has triggered a transfer battle for the Argentinean.

Internacional is getting closer to signing Alexandro Bernabei.
However, according to reports, Internacional personally sent André Mazzuco, their sporting director, to Glasgow in an effort to finalise the deal.

After reportedly spending just £3.25 million to get him from Lanus in 2022, Celts would profit handsomely from the sale of the player, who is being negotiated for £4.5 million.

The player is reportedly seeking a four-year contract, which may pave the way for other departures from Rodgers’ team during this window.

Dinamo Zagreb is interested in signing Greg Taylor this month.

This month, Celtic’s transfer outgoings could reach five.
However, as we previously mentioned, Rodgers wants to keep Taylor, which may end that.

Stephen Welsh is ready to sign a loan deal with KV Mechelen, but the Celtics have not agreed to include a future fee or buyout option in any deal.

If offers are formally made, Maik Nawrocki, Luis Palma, and Odin Thiago Holm may also leave.

While Holm is close to switching to LAFC on loan, Palma is attracting interest from MLS.
