According to Dan Plumley, Rangers must accept the harsh fact that they are unlikely to make any high-profile acquisitions at Ibrox during the January transfer window.

According to Rangers Review, the Bears may have to sell before acquiring players, and loan additions are more likely to occur between now and February 3.

Despite being unpopular, the football finance specialist acknowledged that Rangers must face a tough reality going into this window.

“That may not sit well with Rangers supporters,” he told Ibrox News exclusively.

In addition to the financial aspect of it, there is the on-pitch perspective of their current position.

After that, you must decide whether to shift to the loan market because there isn’t any money to splash or to get players out before you can get them in.

“That, in my opinion, is framed by the fact that they are significantly behind schedule, which then prompts discussions about how the results of this season will affect the finances for the following one as well.

Rangers’ January 1 transfer update: “We’ve discussed the significance of qualifying for the Champions League, or at the very least making it through those qualifying rounds, and how that affects the January transfer plan. Sometimes you have to go back and adjust that accordingly.”

“I believe that is the truth, and if you want to look at moving players on to bring them in, that is one option if you are going to look at that loan market.”
