According to transfer rumours that surfaced this week, Rangers forward Cyriel Dessers may have played his final game at Ibrox.

The Nigerian international is prepared to quit the Gers, according to a December 31 TEAMtalk report, and the team is aggressively trying to sell him.

Dessers might not still be with the team by the time Philippe Clement’s team plays St Johnstone at home on January 12.

In January, Rangers need to cash in on Cyriel Dessers.
Despite being a regular the previous season, the 30-year-old has dropped in the 2023–24 season’s hierarchy.

Given that Danilo and Hamza Igamane are more clinical in front of goal, it seems sense that Clement has chosen them over the Nigerian.

Even though Dessers still has six league goals, many supporters have turned against him because of his lack of poise in the closing third.

In order for the Gers to use those cash to sign another attacker, it will be better for everyone to part ways in January.

As an alternative, they can look into financing options and hire someone they wouldn’t be able to pay for for the upcoming months.

Since they will be playing their rivals again and require the best players to win, their recent victory against Celtic may have given them some hope of making a league comeback.
