Rangers youngster Robbie Fraser has clinched a “terrific move” to Livingston in the January transfer window, Four Lads Had A Dream claimed.
The Gers confirmed on Friday (3 January) that the 21-year-old will spend the rest of the season at the Scottish Championship team.
Fraser’s departure is “sensible”, since the B Team had played most of their fixtures for the season.
On January 3, Four Lads posted on their official X account: “This is a fantastic move for Fraser and the kind of move that will truly help him grow.” Now that B Team fixtures are essentially gone, it’s a smart step. Good luck, Robbie.”
Robbie Fraser will grow at Livingston following his transfer from Rangers.
During the current season, the left-back has made four appearances for the Gers across all competitions, mostly for the minor team.
The 21-year-old made an appearance for the Light Blues on Thursday, January 2, when they defeated Celtic 3-0 at Ibrox, thanks to Philippe Clement.
During the 2024–2025 season, the Belgian manager relied on Jefte to cover on the left side of defence.
During the first half of the season, Neraysho Kasanwirjo also played in that role for Rangers, but it appears that the Dutchman’s injury has ended his stint with the Glaswegian team.
Perhaps they might have recruited a reinforcement before moving Fraser on loan, but the Light Blues don’t have many choices at the back.
In addition to Leon Balogun suffering a knock during the 1-1 draw with Motherwell on December 29, John Souttar has been out for the past few weeks.
The makeshift backline that won the Old Firm derby included Robin Propper and Dujon Sterling, while Ridvan Yilmaz started in place of James Tavernier.
In six months, the Ibrox supporters will be hoping the 21-year-old young player returns a stronger player after a successful stint at Livingston.
