In light of Aaron Connolly’s lack of playing time, RĂ©gis Le Bris has announced that Sunderland will speak with him.

After leaving Hull City at the end of the previous season, the Irishman became a free agent and joined the Black Cats in late September.

So far this season, the 24-year-old has made 10 appearances in the Championship, including two starts.

His solitary goal for Sunderland came in a 1-1 draw against Millwall in November, and he last played in the team’s 1-0 loss to Stoke City at the end of December.

Connolly negotiations are scheduled for Sunderland.

Despite his lack of playing time, Le Bris has stated that he will talk with Connolly about the best course of action.

Given Wilson Isidor’s and Eliezer Mayenda’s impressive performances, he thinks the former Brighton player has just been the victim of circumstance.

“We’ll see. According to The Northern Echo, Le Bris stated, “It’s still crucial that we have this talk and conversation with him this month and we’ll look to build the best pathway for our players.”

“It’s not always your tale.

We will have this discussion because we are currently unsure about the outcome.

“I believe momentum is more important.

Aaron and I talked a lot.

“Eli had a strong start before being hurt.

Wilson was excellent after that, and they gained steam.

“You have to have faith in the players when you’re ahead.

“It doesn’t make sense if I change every time.

“Aaron is still a good teammate and player, but he needs to wait.”

Sunderland’s league standing
With their 1-0 victory over Portsmouth on Sunday afternoon, Sunderland maintained their fourth-place standing and reduced the deficit to second-place Burnley to just two points.

Connolly was not used as a substitute since Isidor’s goal early in the first half was sufficient to keep the two teams apart.

On January 11, the Black Cats will play Stoke City at home in the FA Cup.

Connolly needed to make more of an impression in order to advance in the hierarchy.

Connolly was obviously brought in more to give Le Bris more bodies to chose from in an attack when he got to Sunderland.

In order to secure a more significant part in the team, he had to perform better than he did in the end.

Mayenda and Isidor are currently in the lead, but maybe he will have more chances to win over Le Bris.

He will be hoping for more playing time soon to prove to Sunderland that he is worth keeping after this season, especially since his contract is set to expire in the summer.
