The connections between Rangers and a potential swoop for Dundee midfielder Lyall Cameron astound David Edgar.
Edgar is thrilled by the latest connections to Dundee star Cameron [Sky Sports], and an approach is rumoured to have already been made. Rangers are having a difficult season, and the winter transfer window is being viewed as a chance to bolster the team.
This season, Cameron has flourished at Dundee, and as the window continues, there are more and more connections between him and a move to Ibrox, with Edgar praising his skills.
Edgar made the following statement via the Heart and Hand podcast X account [14 January]: “I like him, obviously needs to develop but we need Scottish ladies.”
Rangers must be active during the window for transfers.
Rangers have only a couple more chances to win the Scottish League Cup after losing in the previous round and falling 15 points behind league leaders Celtic.
The only remaining realistic opportunities are the Scottish Cup and the Europa League, with the latter probably presenting the most difficult task considering the calibre of opponents the Light Blues face.
But a lot will depend on the Gers’ ability to bolster their roster this window if they want to succeed using those methods.
Given how little he has been able to contribute this season due in large part to Hamza Igamane’s impact, Cyriel Dessers [Corriere Fiorentino] is perhaps one of the players who have already been linked to moves away from Ibrox.
The Rangers management needs to demonstrate their desire in the upcoming weeks if they are sincere about trying to improve things at Ibrox.
