According to Keith Jackson, Rangers won’t be able to turn down offers for Hamza Igamane during the summer transfer window.

The journalist for the Daily Record thinks that if the Moroccan striker does well against Manchester United in the Europa League at Old Trafford, interest in him would only increase.

Jackson stated that the Gers would have to sell the 22-year-old for a significant profit if they were to accept a £10 million offer in the summer.

“I don’t think you’ll see Igamane in a Rangers shirt next season,” Jackson stated during an appearance on Hotline Live on January 16. He’s come a long way.

“And I think he’ll go down to Old Trafford… if he goes onto that platform against Manchester United and turns it on and looks like the player he’s looked like in the last few weeks, that’s when the interest will really start to skyrocket.

“They are going to get the kind of offers in the summer they’ll find impossible to resist. This is a person we spent £1.5m on, if you can receive a cheque of £10m after the 12 months, I’m afraid it’s the sort of thing [that needs to be done].”

Rangers’ game-changing transfer of Hamza Igamane

When the Bears chose to wager on Igamane from AS FAR in Morocco, he was not well-known.

Philippe Clement barely used the 22-year-old at the beginning of the season because Cyriel Dessers was still spearheading the attack at Ibrox.

The Belgian manager eventually benched the Nigerian attacker due to his patchy performances, allowing Igamane to show off his skills.

With nine goals in his past ten Scottish Premiership games, Rangers supporters haven’t been let down by the Moroccan centre forward’s performance thus far.

The youthful player scored again as the Glaswegian team defeated Aberdeen 3-0 at Ibrox on Wednesday, January 15, to guarantee their second-place finish.

In the summer, it wouldn’t be shocking to see elite teams from all across Europe vying for the 22-year-old.

Even though it could be tempting to cash in on Igamane in the upcoming months, he might hold the key to the Bears’ success the following season.
