Willem Geubbels, a striker for St Gallen, has drawn interest from Norwich City and West Bromwich Albion.

The Championship trio is reportedly interested in a possible loan move for the 23-year-old, according to Sky Sports, which provided this update.

West Brom has not made any additions this transfer window, which is perhaps due in part to the Baggies’ managerial style.

In the meanwhile, Norwich has made moves to sign Anis Ben Slimane permanently and bring in Lewis Dobbin and Matej Jurasek.

Geubbels, who has been a key member of his current team this season, is reportedly attracting interest from all three teams.

After beginning his professional career at Lyon, the Frenchman even played for Monaco before joining Nantes on loan.

The 23-year-old joined his current squad in January 2023 after failing to create much of an impression in his native country.

In his first full season with the Swiss team, he scored eight goals and provided five assists; this season, he has been able to improve on that performance.

He has established himself as a consistent scorer for St Gallen and done enough to attract interest from other teams, with a move to England possibly imminent for the forward.

Dismissed Leeds United connections to Willem Geubbels

After sending Joe Gelhardt on loan to Hull City during this transfer window, Leeds has been linked to a move to Geubbels.

A move for the forward would have made sense because Joel Piroe and Mateo Joseph might have needed more competition, while Patrick Bamford is now sidelined due to injury.

However, Isaac Johnson, a journalist for Leeds Live, thinks that connections to the Frenchman are untrue.

However, according to Sky Sports, both Norwich and the Baggies are interested in the 23-year-old forward, so they might be in the running for him.

West Brom and Norwich City ought to be searching for a prolific scorer.

Albion needs a replacement for Josh Maja (seen above), who will be sidelined for some time. Geubbels would be a particularly good addition as a result.

When fit, Karlan Grant, Daryl Dike, and Devante Cole are other choices.

However, Cole hasn’t had much of an impact since joining The Hawthorns, and Dike has missed a significant amount of time due to injury.

Norwich might also profit from having an extra forward at their disposal.

Key attacking players like Jonathan Rowe, Adam Idah and Gabriel Sara all departed during the summer – and having someone like the St Gallen man might allow them to climb the table.
