The Sun reported on Sunday that Emi Buendia is delaying a move from Aston Villa to the Championship, leaving Leeds United constantly disappointed.

According to a story on page 55 of Sunday’s print edition (January 26), 28-year-old Buendia is giving priority to hearing offers from other places to leave Villa Park before giving switching to Elland Road any serious thought.

The attacking midfielder from Argentina, who is currently on the sidelines at Villa after suffering a protracted injury layoff the previous season, previously worked under Daniel Farke at Norwich City and Leeds, seems open to paying a fee during the winter transfer window and setting up a loan.

According to the source, Leeds is having trouble acquiring Aston Villa’s Emi Buendia.

The midfield wizard would either be purchased or loaned to the Championship’s top teams.

The 28-year-old Argentinean out of favour, nevertheless, is not interested in dropping to the second division and will instead wait for offers from top teams.

Leeds United is still looking to add players, but no deals before February 3rd are guaranteed.

Buendia’s pursuit by Leeds United is becoming a bother.

It seems sense that the controversy surrounding Buendia is causing Leeds supporters and the team to get extremely upset.

It is evident that Aston Villa is willing to let go of their once-crucial attacking midfielder, who was left behind by an injury last season in a team that is currently dominating the Champions League.

Buendia is therefore receiving a lot of the expected attention, and he is aware that he is talented enough to receive consistent playing time in a few elite teams, most of which are overseas.

To block even a short-term transfer to a team at the top of the Championship in order to win another promotion medal, however, seems like a foolish move.

According to the most recent rumours, Buendia may be a regular Premier League player in seven months if he decides to take the risk and rejoin Farke in West Yorkshire.
