Ferrari Reveals Reserve Drivers for 2025 Season: Who Will Step In for Hamilton or Leclerc?

As the 2025 Formula 1 season looms, Ferrari has officially announced its reserve drivers, addressing the critical question of who would step in if their star drivers, Charles Leclerc or Lewis Hamilton, are unable to participate in any race.

In a statement released today, Ferrari confirmed that its highly experienced reserve driver lineup consists of two skilled drivers: Mick Schumacher and Antonio Giovinazzi.

Mick Schumacher, son of the legendary Michael Schumacher, brings with him a wealth of knowledge from his time with Ferrari’s development program and previous F1 experience. His strong performance in test sessions and simulator work has made him a trusted option should Leclerc or Hamilton miss any race in 2025.

Antonio Giovinazzi, another driver with previous Ferrari experience, will also play a key role in filling in. The Italian driver has spent time with Alfa Romeo and was part of Ferrari’s simulator team, making him an excellent backup choice for any unforeseen absences.

Both Schumacher and Giovinazzi have shown consistent performance and adaptability, ensuring Ferrari is well-prepared to deal with any potential challenges that might arise during the season.

With the confirmation of this dynamic reserve team, Ferrari fans can rest assured that their team will remain competitive, no matter the circumstances.
