Craig Moore is surprised that Rangers do not have access to one of the world’s top scouting networks for football.

The current agent and former Ibrox defender believes Rangers have everything they need to become a scouting powerhouse, but something has to be done.

Moore finds it absurd that more hasn’t been done to retain contacts with past players, as these connections could be crucial in attracting players from unexplored markets.

According to the agent, Rangers’ “chopping and changing” policy has made it impossible to keep up solid ties with former players who could support international hiring efforts.

“I always think that Rangers Football Club should have one of the best scouting infrastructures in the world because of the players from all over the globe that we’ve had,” Moore told the Daily Record, referring to the people that have come and gone from the team.

However, it’s crucial to keep up relationships. We’ve had a sizable Italian contingent over the years, as well as South Americans, Dutch boys, Claudio Caniggia, and Seb Rozental.

“I currently cover Asia and Australia in my work. Although there is a network of players that have a close bond with the team, I believe that the organization hasn’t prioritized that because of all the cutting and shifting.

“A large number of club members would be unaware that those players were Rangers players. It’s crucial, in my opinion, that the baton be passed on within your network.

“I am aware that everyone has their own network, but many others who came before them have experienced what it’s like to play for Rangers during a winning streak. Listen, there are instances when others don’t share my brilliant ideas. I just believe that there are numerous chances to discover in various fields.
