With playing time hard to come by at AC Milan and an uncertain future at parent club Roma, Tammy Abraham finds himself at a pivotal moment in his career—just as Leeds United have registered their interest in the striker.

Could Abraham Return to Roma?

His potential return to the Stadio Olimpico largely hinges on Roma’s next managerial appointment, as Claudio Ranieri’s short-term deal expires in the summer. Additionally, the Giallorossi made a significant investment last year in Artem Dovbyk, brought in as Abraham’s successor.

Meanwhile, AC Milan has no option to buy in Abraham’s loan agreement, and given his underwhelming stint—scoring just twice in Serie A while starting only nine league matches in 2024/25—the Rossoneri may not be eager to pursue a permanent deal.

With that in mind, a move back to English football, particularly to promotion-chasing Leeds United, could be an appealing alternative.

Leeds United Monitoring Abraham’s Situation

Sources at Leeds United News confirm that the Championship leaders are closely tracking Abraham’s status in Italy. The club is keen to recruit a striker with Premier League experience, and the former Chelsea forward certainly fits the bill.

Having made 89 Premier League appearances, including scoring twice against Daniel Farke’s Norwich City in 2019, Abraham boasts the top-flight pedigree Leeds are seeking.

However, despite speculation surrounding his future, Abraham himself does not appear in a rush to leave Serie A.

Speaking to CBS Sports Golazo, the former Aston Villa frontman emphasized his enjoyment of Italian football and his belief in the league’s growing appeal.

“The first thing I said when I came here was that it was time to spread my wings and try something different,” Abraham shared.

“Now, people are seeing that there’s more to football than staying in your comfort zone. More English players are coming to Serie A because they’re not afraid to try something different. Italy is the perfect place to learn about both football and culture.

“Life here is great—it’s a fantastic experience. When Kyle Walker asked me about Milan, I had no hesitation in telling him how incredible the club is. I’m a winner, I want to win, and I believe you should always enjoy your football. I’m living my dream.”

Other Strikers on Leeds’ Radar

While Abraham remains a potential target, Leeds United News reports that the club is also assessing alternative options, including Nice’s Evann Guessand, Sunderland’s Wilson Isidor, and Norwich’s Josh Sargent.

With 21 goals in 37 Premier League starts for Chelsea, Abraham is arguably the most proven and least risky option among them. However, with Roma, Milan, and the player himself all facing big decisions in the coming months, Leeds may need patience—and persuasive efforts—if they are to bring him back to English football.
