Ryan Jack was in attendance at the Şükrü Saracoğlu Stadium as Rangers secured a 3-1 victory over Fenerbahçe in the Europa League on Thursday night.

The Scottish side took a significant step towards the quarter-finals by putting three past José Mourinho’s team in Istanbul during the first leg of their round of 16 encounter.

Cyriel Dessers struck early, opening the scoring in the sixth minute, but Fenerbahçe responded with an equaliser 15 minutes before halftime. Czech forward Václav Černý restored Rangers’ lead in the 42nd minute and later sealed his brace in the 81st minute, effectively putting the game to bed.

Barry Ferguson’s side showcased clinical finishing despite not dominating possession for most of the match.

Ryan Jack hails Rangers fans

Former Rangers midfielder Jack was among the spectators for the European clash in Istanbul.

Having spent seven years at Ibrox, the 33-year-old left last summer as a free agent and later joined Turkish second-tier side Esenler Erokspor. Over his time with the Gers, Jack made 210 appearances, scoring 16 goals and registering 15 assists. While he wasn’t always a guaranteed starter, he remained a key squad player, offering both depth and quality.

More than 2,000 Rangers fans made the 2,200-mile journey from Glasgow to Istanbul to support their team. Their presence was felt throughout the match, as they created a lively atmosphere in the away section. Jack, who has witnessed Rangers’ passionate supporters travel far and wide, once again admired their dedication.

Taking to Instagram, he shared his appreciation for the fans, posting a story with the caption: “The best out there.”

Rangers to rival Celtic for Lennon Miller?

The Gers are already planning their squad reinforcement for next season, with Dundee’s Lyall Cameron set to arrive at Ibrox after agreeing to pre-contract terms.

Meanwhile, 18-year-old Motherwell midfielder Lennon Miller has caught the attention of multiple Premiership clubs. With Rangers’ ownership potentially changing hands, the incoming 49ers-led consortium may look to make a statement by investing in emerging talent like Miller.

Celtic, the current league leaders, have been tracking the young midfielder for some time and may push to secure his signature before the season ends to avoid a transfer battle with Rangers.

As the American investors negotiate acquiring a 51% stake in the club, a financial boost could soon put Rangers in a position to go head-to-head with Celtic both on and off the pitch.
