Rangers Secure Lucrative Merchandising Deal with WWE

Rangers have struck a potentially profitable agreement with an American company valued at over £6 billion.

In addition to the Ibrox club, Celtic, Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester United, Chelsea, and several other clubs have entered similar partnerships. In total, 13 European teams are part of this initiative.

WWE and Rangers Join Forces for Merchandising

On March 14, WWE announced a merchandising agreement that includes Rangers among other prominent clubs.

As reported by Rangers Review, WWE’s statement read:

“The WWE Legacy Title Belts, representing a select group of the biggest football clubs in the world, are emblazoned with the unique colours and official markings of each team.

“The collection follows the release of officially licensed NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL, and Collegiate WWE Legacy Title Belts.

“The European Football WWE Legacy Title Belts are available to pre-order now from Euroshop, WWE Shop, and Fanatics and will soon be available for purchase at select club stores and WWE Live event venues.”

This collaboration presents a significant commercial opportunity for Rangers, with the sale of Legacy Title Belts offering a fresh revenue stream.

Expanding Rangers’ Global Reach

Teaming up with a global entertainment powerhouse like WWE, which boasts a vast and diverse fanbase, allows Rangers to extend their brand beyond traditional football audiences.

By joining forces with elite clubs such as Juventus, Manchester United, and Paris Saint-Germain in this unique merchandise line, Rangers elevate their global stature, further solidifying their presence in international football culture.

The belts, featuring Rangers’ signature blue colors and official branding, provide fans with a distinctive way to display their club loyalty, merging football passion with WWE’s theatrical appeal.

Drew McIntyre’s Influence

From a financial standpoint, this deal is poised to generate substantial revenue. Pre-orders through Euroshop, WWE Shop, and Fanatics—alongside sales in club stores and WWE events—expand Rangers’ commercial footprint, particularly in North America, where WWE enjoys a massive following.

Adding further appeal, WWE superstar Drew McIntyre, a well-known Rangers fan, enhances the partnership’s credibility. His previous visit to Ibrox with fellow wrestler Piper Niven before Clash at the Castle hinted at this crossover, and his influence could further drive sales among wrestling enthusiasts.

Beyond financial gains, this agreement strengthens Rangers’ global engagement by blending sports and entertainment, reinforcing the club’s ambition and innovative commercial strategy as they continue their Europa League campaign.
