Cerny Set to Snub Seven Offers If Rangers Make Key Assurance
Vaclav Cerny is prepared to turn down seven transfer offers from elsewhere if Rangers provide one crucial guarantee.
The 27-year-old winger, who joined the Gers on loan from Wolfsburg last summer, has been a key player this season. Given his impact, it’s no surprise that he’s being linked with a permanent move to Ibrox.
While the Czech international is expected to attract interest in the upcoming transfer window, he is reportedly willing to reject other offers—provided Rangers meet one condition.
According to The Daily Record, Cerny has already spoken with interim boss Barry Ferguson and wants clarity on whether the club legend will remain in charge beyond this season.
Journalist Gavin Jackson revealed on Hotline Live (March 19) that Cerny has received seven or eight offers but would prioritize Rangers if Ferguson is appointed as the permanent manager.
“I believe he has spoken to Ferguson and wants to know if he will stay on as manager because he’s been really impressed and enjoys working with him,” Jackson said. “He already has multiple offers, but he would choose Rangers, especially if Ferguson remains in charge.”
Rangers Must Secure Cerny’s Future
With Andrew Cavenagh and 49ers Enterprises potentially taking over at Ibrox, the club’s leadership must act swiftly to finalize Cerny’s transfer and ensure his long-term stay.
