A highly-rated Rangers talent has suggested he may never play at Ibrox again, just after marking a milestone night for his country.
Rangers Players Shine on International Duty as Curtis Makes Scotland Debut
One of Rangers’ most promising young stars, 18-year-old winger Findlay Curtis, made his first appearance for Scotland’s Under-19s last week in a 1-1 friendly against Sweden. Curtis made an immediate impact, setting up Sam Chambers’ goal.
Reflecting on his first-ever national team call-up, Curtis told Rangers’ official website that it was a “proud moment” for him, his family, and friends.

“I’ve never been called up to a Scotland squad before; this is the first one,” said Curtis, who made his senior Rangers debut in January before signing a contract extension. “It was tough watching others get selected, but I kept my head down, worked hard, and now I’ve been rewarded.”
Matondo Impresses for Wales, Hints at Rangers Departure
Another Rangers player making international headlines is Welsh forward Rabbi Matondo. The 24-year-old, currently on loan at 2. Bundesliga side Hannover 96, scored his first goal for Wales in a 3-1 Nations League victory over Kazakhstan on Saturday.
Speaking after the game, Matondo, who was earning just his second cap since 2023, called it a dream come true.
“I was buzzing,” the Liverpool-born attacker told BBC Sport. “I’m grateful to be picked and part of the squad, so it was great to get on the pitch and score my first goal for my country. It’s something I’ve always dreamed of.”
Matondo, once hailed as “incredible” by former manager Domenico Tedesco, also hinted at a possible permanent exit from Rangers.
After making just eight appearances for the Gers in the first half of the season, he joined Hannover on loan in January. The German club reportedly has an option to sign him permanently for £1 million this summer.
When asked if the move had been beneficial, Matondo suggested Hannover has long-term plans for him:
“100%. It wasn’t an easy decision at first, but when Hannover showed me their future plans, I thought, ‘Why not? Go there and play my football.’
“It’s been a tough season, especially with injury at the start, so getting minutes was crucial. I wasn’t sure I’d get that at Rangers at the time.”
