Norwich City head coach Johannes Hoff Thorup spoke to the media ahead of the Canaries’ home clash with West Bromwich Albion on Saturday (3:00 PM GMT).
Here are the main points from his press conference:
Goalkeeper Angus Gunn is available for selection after missing three Championship games before the international break. However, full-back Lucien Mahovo remains sidelined.
“There are no new injuries from the players who were away on international duty, and we had productive time working with the players who stayed,” Thorup said.
During the break, Thorup traveled to the United States to spend time with majority shareholder Mark Attanasio.
Regarding top scorer Borja Sainz, Thorup commented, “If he reaches 20 Championship goals, there will certainly be a lot of interest in him — but he won’t come cheap.”
January signing Matej Jurasek is expected to be part of the matchday squad but will be eased into action as he adapts to the demands of Championship football.
On facing West Brom, Thorup said, “They are a strong side capable of dominating a game and causing us problems.
“It’s crucial that we do everything we can to give the fans a positive experience to close out the season because we owe them that,”he concluded.
