The Record Sport columnist made a surprise appearance on stage during Nathan Evans’ gig at the Glasgow Barrowlands.

Cheeky Scott Arfield channeled his inner VÔclav Černý by recreating the controversial Celtic celebration, playfully drenching fans at the event.

The ā€˜watergate’ incident has been a major talking point following Rangers’ derby victory, after Černý and Nedim Bajrami sprayed water at the home crowd in the aftermath of Hamza Igamane’s dramatic winner.

Outraged Celtic Park supporters reacted furiously, prompting police and security intervention. Černý now faces scrutiny from both the SFA and law enforcement, though he dismissed the backlash as ā€œabsurdā€ during the international break.

As the Scottish Premiership prepares to resume—with Rangers set to face Dundee—boss Barry Ferguson emphasized that such passionate responses are exactly what he expects from his squad after a late triumph at Celtic Park.

Arfield, now a Falkirk midfielder and former Rangers star, took inspiration from Černý’s antics as he joined Evans on stage. Appearing at the side, he proceeded to soak the audience—though, unlike the reaction at Celtic Park, this time the crowd erupted in cheers.

After the gig, one fan joked, ā€œNot Scotty Arfield soaking me,ā€ while another quipped, ā€œThat’s not Arfield, that’s VĆ”clav Černý!ā€

The Record Sport columnist took a lighthearted view of the derby-day controversy, writing last week: ā€œOf course, Barry and his players had every right to savor that moment—even if a little water got spilled in the process!ā€
