Parramatta Eels coach Jason Ryles has made it clear that the club has no intention of allowing star playmaker Dylan Brown to leave early, despite ongoing speculation about his future.
Brown, who is contracted to the Eels until the end of 2025, has been the subject of interest from rival NRL clubs, with reports suggesting he could explore an early exit from Parramatta. However, Ryles was adamant that the 23-year-old Kiwi international remains a key part of the Eels’ plans and ruled out any chance of releasing him before his contract expires.
Speaking to reporters, Ryles emphasized Brown’s importance to the squad and dismissed suggestions that the Eels would consider an early departure. “Dylan is a quality player and a big part of what we’re building here,” Ryles said. “We’re not entertaining any talk of him leaving early. He’s fully committed to the club, and we’re focused on what he brings to the team.”
Brown has been a standout performer for the Eels since making his NRL debut in 2019, earning a reputation as one of the competition’s most dynamic halves. Despite a turbulent 2023 season, where he missed time due to off-field issues, Brown has returned to form this year and remains integral to Parramatta’s attack.
Ryles also highlighted Brown’s professionalism and dedication, suggesting that the young playmaker is focused on helping the Eels succeed. “Dylan’s head is in the right place, and he’s determined to contribute to the team’s success,” Ryles added.
While rumors continue to swirl about Brown’s long-term future beyond 2025, Ryles’ firm stance suggests Parramatta is not willing to let go of their star playmaker anytime soon.
