Norwich City are keen on securing Arsenal forward Nathan Butler-Oyedeji on a free transfer, according to sources from Football Insider.

Canaries sporting director Ben Knapper, who previously worked with Butler-Oyedeji at Arsenal, is a strong admirer of the 22-year-old. With his contract at the Emirates set to expire this summer and no new deal in place, several clubs in England and abroad have taken notice of his availability.

The Arsenal academy graduate has recently been included in Mikel Arteta’s senior squad due to an injury crisis. He made his first-team debut in January’s Champions League clash against Dinamo Zagreb and has impressed for the Under-21s this season, scoring 10 goals and providing six assists in 15 appearances.

Butler-Oyedeji has also gained experience on loan at Cheltenham and Accrington and was a target for League One side Rotherham during the winter transfer window.

Norwich currently sit 10th in the Championship, five points behind the play-off spots with seven games remaining.

Meanwhile, Arsenal are preparing a lucrative new contract offer for Bukayo Saka, whose current deal runs until 2027. Concerns about a season-ending injury have been eased, with the 23-year-old aiming for a return against Fulham on April 1.
