An image of Celtic winger Jota wearing an unfamiliar version of a Celtic shirt has been making the rounds on social media, stirring up plenty of curiosity and speculation among fans.

Some have suggested it might be a preview of next season’s kit or a new training top, but without official confirmation, it’s best not to jump to conclusions.

The shirt doesn’t resemble any current designs, which has naturally led supporters to wonder if it’s a sneak peek at the upcoming season’s gear. However, until the club formally announces anything, the rumours should be taken with a grain of salt.

What’s adding to the buzz is a recent tease from kit insiders Footy Headlines, who hinted at the return of the iconic “bumblebee” away strip for next season. Known for their accurate leaks, Footy Headlines’ report on X (formerly Twitter) generated plenty of excitement. The black-and-yellow bumblebee kit holds a special place in Celtic history, having first appeared in the 90s and made a comeback in 2009. Still, the shirt seen in Jota’s photo doesn’t seem connected to that design.

Further fuelling the speculation, Celtic Women’s defender Chloe Craig recently posted “Day two done” on her Instagram story—suggesting that promotional work is underway for next season’s kits. If that’s the case, it’s possible that Jota’s shirt is part of a new release, but whether it’s a match kit or a training piece remains unclear.

It’s also worth noting that last year, a supposed leak of the 2024/25 home kit—a tartan-inspired design—made waves online, only to be revealed later as a fan-made concept by creator HariboHeron. That example serves as a reminder not to take online leaks at face value.

While it’s fun to guess what Celtic might unveil next, supporters should stay cautious. As history has shown, not all leaks are legit, and the full truth will only come out when the club officially lifts the curtain on next season’s kits. Until then, fans can enjoy the excitement of the unknown—but with a healthy dose of skepticism.
