According to The Daily Telegraph, 34-year-old Adam Reynolds is drawing strong interest from Super League side Hull KR. The connection comes from Reynolds’ past with Rovers head coach Willie Peters, as the pair previously worked together at South Sydney Rabbitohs.

The Brisbane Broncos, meanwhile, are preparing for a salary cap crunch, with key players like Kotoni Staggs, Payne Haas, Selwyn Cobbo, Kobe Hetherington, and Cory Paix nearing the end of their contracts.

Reynolds has featured in 293 NRL matches over a 13-year career—spending nine seasons with the Rabbitohs and the last four with the Broncos. Despite his ongoing injury issues, retirement isn’t on his radar. “The plan is to play on,” he told Triple M. “I’m keeping all options open. You never know what’s coming.”

Hull KR boss Willie Peters has now addressed the rumors surrounding Reynolds.

“We’re not in a position to comment on recruitment just yet, but once we are, we’ll share more details,” Peters said. “We’re always discussing players and how they might improve the squad, but there’s nothing concrete to report at this stage.”

When asked about the club’s broader recruitment strategy and the future of Tyrone May, Peters explained:

“Paul Lakin [Rovers’ CEO] and I talk recruitment daily—just like any coach and CEO duo. We try to plan ahead, and that’s worked for us before. After December, players like Tyrone become available to everyone.

“We’ve spoken about it. Right now, off-contract players can be picked up by other clubs—and the same goes for us. Tyrone could still be here next year, but he’s made it clear that he wants to return and play alongside his brothers.

“He’s waiting to see if that opportunity arises, but we also have to be ready in case another option presents itself. If we wait too long and Tyrone signs elsewhere, we might miss out. So we’re keeping discussions going and watching the market.”
