Hearts’ Premiership Run-In Confirmed
The remaining Premiership fixtures for Hearts have now been finalised following the league split.
Their final five league matches begin with a home clash against Dundee and conclude with a trip to Kilmarnock. The Tynecastle side finds itself in the bottom six after a disappointing finish to the pre-split schedule. Missed opportunities in a loss to Dundee United and a draw at Motherwell dashed any hopes of a top-half finish and European qualification via the league.
Hearts still have a shot at silverware, though, as they prepare to face Aberdeen in the Scottish Cup semi-final this Saturday. Here’s what’s left on their league calendar:
Hearts Post-Split Fixtures:
Hearts vs Dundee – April 26, 3PM
Ross County vs Motherwell – May 3, 3PM
Hearts vs Motherwell – May 10, 3PM
Hearts vs St Johnstone – May 14, 7:45PM (Note: Sky Sports may select a match for live coverage on matchday 37)
Kilmarnock vs Hearts – May 18, 3PM
Player Reaction
Following the draw at Fir Park, goalkeeper Craig Gordon expressed his frustration:
“We have to go and win—plain and simple. If we don’t, the only objective left is to ensure we avoid getting pulled into the relegation scrap. Missing out on the top six is hugely disappointing. We’ve had our chances but ultimately fell short—not just in one game, but across the season.
“At this stage, it’s about the whole campaign, and we haven’t done enough. We should have been aiming higher than just sneaking into the top half. The bottom six is tight, and there’s still a lot to play for—we must start winning.
“There’s no time to dwell on it. It’s tough to be in this position, but we need to respond. We’ve got five league games left and we need to secure safety, then turn attention to next season. Everyone must take responsibility. We have to show character, stay professional, and give everything until the very end.”
