Feyenoord appear poised to swoop in for Red Star Belgrade defender Ebenezer Annan, potentially beating Rangers to his signature, after closely monitoring him over his last three matches. The Dutch side are now expected to submit a bid for the Ghanaian international left-back.
Rangers were linked with the 22-year-old last month, who previously had a stint with Serie A side Bologna earlier in his career.
Annan spent the first half of the campaign on loan at OFK Beograd before returning to Red Star, where he played a key role in their Serbian league title win, making 14 appearances.
His impressive displays have drawn interest from across Europe, with Feyenoord scouts attending three consecutive games to assess him.
Serbian media report that Red Star are preparing for a formal offer from Feyenoord, with Annan’s valuation set at £2 million.
The defender made a single Serie A appearance three years ago before moving to the Balkans, where he has flourished.
