According to Sky Germany, Borussia Dortmund are eyeing a move for Norwich City forward Ante Crnac as they look to strengthen their attacking options. The 21-year-old could provide cover for Bundesliga striker Serhou Guirassy, but is also capable of playing in a wide role behind him.

Crnac may be a particularly good fit under current Dortmund boss Niko Kovac, who shares Croatian roots with the young attacker. Kovac has already had success deploying similar profiles, having played a key role in the development of German forward Maximilian Beier in a supporting role behind Guirassy this season.

Valued at €8 million by Transfermarkt, Crnac could be available for the right price. Norwich City originally paid €11 million for him, and while his season in the EFL Championship—with seven goals—was solid rather than spectacular, the club may be tempted to sell if it means turning a profit.

Crnac is also seen as a more affordable option compared to another Dortmund target, Ritsu Doan of Freiburg. The Bundesliga side are expected to hold out for at least €20 million for their top scorer.

Adding another layer of intrigue, Dortmund and Freiburg are locked in a head-to-head battle for the final Champions League qualification spot, with everything to be decided on the Bundesliga’s final matchday.
