Celtic fans may have just received the clearest indication yet that Lennon Miller could be heading to Celtic Park this summer. The 18-year-old midfielder was given a standing ovation as he left the field during Motherwell’s final match of the season at Fir Park—a moment that has only fueled speculation about his next move.

Miller has enjoyed a breakthrough season, showing composure and quality well beyond his years. A regular in Motherwell’s midfield, his performances have attracted interest from a number of clubs, with Celtic reportedly monitoring him closely. That interest is expected to translate into a formal bid once the transfer window opens.

Reporting live from Fir Park, BBC Sport’s Jane Lewis highlighted the moment’s importance: “Lennon Miller has just walked off the pitch to a fantastic ovation from the Motherwell supporters. Could this be his farewell appearance at Fir Park?”

The highly rated youngster has collected major honours this season, including the PFA Scotland Young Player of the Year and the SFWA Young Player of the Year—proof of his growing reputation.

Celtic already boast a deep midfield, featuring captain Callum McGregor, Reo Hatate, and recent additions Luke McCowan and Arne Engels.

However, adding Miller would offer Brendan Rodgers another exciting option and a promising talent to nurture. His technical ability, composure in possession, and footballing intelligence align well with Celtic’s style of play.

Should the move materialize, Miller would be joining a squad that continues to evolve, with domestic dominance and European progress firmly in its sights.
