Matt O’Riley is reportedly drawing attention from clubs in the Premier League, Serie A, and Bundesliga as the summer transfer window approaches.

The Danish midfielder joined Brighton & Hove Albion from Celtic in a club-record deal last summer. Despite a somewhat challenging debut season on the south coast, O’Riley is considered a player to keep an eye on this summer, according to respected transfer expert Fabrizio Romano. Interest is said to be growing from teams across the top European leagues, with initial approaches being made for the 24-year-old.

O’Riley made 21 appearances for Brighton in his first campaign, having been sidelined early on due to an injury just minutes into his debut. He later made a strong return, scoring the decisive goal in a 2-1 win over reigning champions Manchester City.

A move this summer could also benefit Celtic financially. The Scottish champions reportedly included a 10% sell-on clause in O’Riley’s transfer to Brighton, which would entitle them to a share of any future fee. Combined with the expected £6–7 million windfall from Jeremie Frimpong’s likely switch to Liverpool, Celtic could be in line for another timely cash injection.
