Jordan Samrani Signs Long-Term Extension with Parramatta Eels, Vows to Become Club Legend

Parramatta, July 2, 2025 — Rising NRL star Jordan Samrani has officially committed his future to the Parramatta Eels after penning a new long-term contract extension, putting to rest speculation about his future and pledging to remain with the club until he etches his name into the history books.

The 23-year-old powerhouse forward, who has been a fan favourite since making his debut for the Eels three seasons ago, signed a four-year contract extension that will keep him in blue and gold until the end of the 2029 NRL season.

In a statement released by the club, Samrani expressed his deep loyalty to the Eels and made it clear that he has no intention of leaving until he secures legendary status.

“Parramatta isn’t just a team to me — it’s home,” said Samrani. “They took a chance on me when others didn’t, and I’ll never forget that. I’ve grown so much here, and now I want to give everything I have back. My dream is to become a legend of this club, and I won’t walk away until I’ve earned that right.”

Eels head coach Jason Ryles was full of praise for the young enforcer, calling him the “heartbeat of the squad” and lauding his growth both on and off the field.

“Jordan is everything we want in a Parramatta Eels player — tough, disciplined, and 100% committed to the team. His leadership is growing, his work ethic is second to none, and his belief in this club’s vision makes him the kind of player you build a team around,” Ryles said.

Samrani, known for his explosive runs, tireless defense, and inspirational performances in big matches, has become a cornerstone of Parramatta’s forward pack. In the 2024 season alone, he averaged 150 running metres per game and ranked among the top five tacklers in the league.

His loyalty stands out in an era where player movement and short-term contracts have become increasingly common. According to sources close to the negotiations, Samrani turned down several big-money offers from rival clubs, including a rumoured $1.2 million per season offer from a top Queensland outfit.

But for Samrani, the decision was about more than money.

“People talk about chasing glory elsewhere, but I believe in building something here. I want young kids wearing my jersey in 10 years saying, ‘He stayed when he didn’t have to. He gave us everything.’ That’s what being a legend means.”

The Eels fanbase has already begun celebrating the news, with social media flooded by posts praising Samrani’s loyalty and dedication. One fan wrote, “He’s not just staying — he’s becoming immortal in blue and gold.”

With Jordan Samrani locked in for the foreseeable future, the Parramatta Eels will look to build around their star forward as they chase that elusive premiership title — a dream both club and player now share more passionately than ever.
