Wigan Warriors and Leigh Leopards Set for Battle of the Borough Rematch as Team Lineups Confirmed

Wigan Warriors will face off against Leigh Leopards in a highly anticipated rematch of their dramatic Round One clash. That opening encounter ended 1-0 in Leigh’s favour after extra time, with Gaz O’Brien slotting the decisive drop goal at the Brick Community Stadium.

Both teams have been in strong form since that February showdown, with Wigan currently second in the Super League standings and Leigh close behind in third. A win for the Warriors would see them leapfrog into top spot for the first time this season, though Hull KR could reclaim the lead the following day. Meanwhile, a Leigh victory would see them overtake their rivals and move into second place.

With over 17,000 fans expected to attend the derby, both sides have now announced their matchday squads.
